Christmas Morning

The echoing of laughter, children’s' voices clear When opening Christmas presents,
in the bygone years,Remembering all the happy looks, anticipating eyes Pulling paper off their gifts, revealing their surprise. The Christmas tree all lit up,
with decorations fine,

The candle's wick is burning, releasing fragrant pine.
Christmas is a wondrous time, As all of us know A time for friends and family And sledding in the snow.
The giggles and the clattering,Of children and their toys.Watch them run and play, my little girls and boys.

It seemed back then time would stand still,
forever it would be
But here it is now days gone by,
just a memory.
The echoed laughter, smiling eyes,
sweet fragrance in the air.

'Now in my heart just memories,
forever, they'll be there.
